Quick Take: A fast start on offense propelled Harlingen to a 39-21 victory over Warren on Friday night at Farris Stadium. The Cardinals (12-0) dominate rushing attack ended the Warriors (8-4) season while advancing Harlingen to the regional round of the Class 6A Division II Texas state playoffs. The Cardinals scored on their first five drives, taking an early 27-7 lead. Harlingen had three separate players rush for a touchdown. 'It was a fun night, it was football, unfortunately somebody's got to lose — we don't like to say lose, we like to say learn — but that's what is so special about the playoffs,' Harlingen coach Manny Gomez said.
